Michael was born in Milwaukee, WI (Bay View) and grew up in Brookfield, WI. In 2014, he starred in and directed his first documentary Haunted State: Whispers from History Past. The film, (now streaming on Amazon Prime) for which he was also the Director and Executive Producer, became a 2015 Official Selection at the Weyauwega International Film Festival and an 2016 Official Selection at the Green Bay Film festival.
Michael’s second film Roller Life is about the Brew City Bruisers, a flat track roller derby league that belongs to the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association, for a full season. The film follows around eight roller derby athletes and captures the essence of their lives both on and off the track. The documentary looks into misconceptions of the sport and covers the full action of the roller derby season.
Michael is currently ready to premiere his second installment of the Haunted State documentary series titled, Haunted State: Theatre Of Shadows, a film about Wisconsin theatres and the paranormal activity inside the theatres. The world premiere will be in Milwaukee October 25th, 2017 followed by the Fox Cities premiere October 26th, 2017.
Michael is proud to be from Wisconsin. He is passionate about the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Bucks. He’s a single father and lives with his 12-year-old son, Noah – his inspiration for everything.
